On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Travis Manion Foundation hosted more than 4,000 supporters at its annual tailgate party prior to the Army vs. Navy game at Miller Market Plaza in Hyattsville, MD. The event raised funds and spread awareness about TMF’s mission to empower veterans and families of fallen service members.

Attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere with unlimited food and drinks, live entertainment, guest speakers, heaters, and exclusive swag items from more than 30 vendors. Supporters channeled the rivalry between Army and Navy into a head-to-head fundraising challenge that raised over $52,000 for TMF—with Team Navy coming out on top.

During the tailgate, TMF presented Birdie, a trained service dog, to a deserving member of its Spartan community in partnership with Northern Pines Canines. Maria, an Army veteran who served as a combat medic with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, had been waiting over two years for a service dog.
