Matthew graduated from Iowa-Grant in 2004 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. Matt then re-enlisted in September of 2007 until the present. He had the goal of returning home and becoming a police officer. Matt loved serving his country, along with spending time with his friends, especially "The Boys". He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, learning about history, and he and his wife enjoyed going on adventures; he wanted to see the world.
