CAPT John D. Titus, Jr. SC, USN
The Philadelphia 1-mile walk/fun run is dedicated to the memory of John D. Titus, Jr.
CAPT Titus. John retired in October 2012 after completing 26 years of active service while serving at Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor’s degree at U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland., and his master’s degree at Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island. His previous duty stations include Navy Supply Corps School, Athens, Georgia; Headquarters, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Norfolk, Virginia; Commander, Expeditionary Stripe Group ONE, San Diego, California; Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Program Executive Officer, Strike Weapons and Unmanned Aviation, Patuxent River, Maryland; Program Executive Officer, Tactical Aircraft Programs, Patuxent River, Maryland; USS Simon Lake (AS 33); Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, San Diego, California; USS Coronado (AFG 11) Naval Air Station Lemoore, California; and Commander, Strike Fighter Squadron, 146, San Francisco, California. John passed away unexpectedly, on June 14, 2019, at home.

GORUCK
Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2023, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year.
