5K Racecourse is a mix of pavement and packed dirt.Starting line and all pre-race activities will be at the Fairgrounds Track. You may park at the lot at the top of the hill overlooking the track or across the street at the Children's Playground parking lot.
Packet Pick up and Same Day Registration - 7:30-8:30 AM
Opening Ceremonies - 8:40 AM
All Racers to the starting line - 8:55 AM
All races start - 9 AM

GORUCK RUCKING DIVISION
Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2024, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year. Richard Fry
The Pittsburgh 1-mile run/walk is dedicated to the memory of Richard Fry.
Rich was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department Hose Co. No. 7, where he joined in Dec. 1972, and served as past president, and currently served as vice president, house committee and was on the board of control. Rich was a member of Westmoreland County Firemen's Association, Pennsylvania State Firemen's Association, Westmoreland County Fire Chief's Association, Pennsylvania State Firemen's Association's Over the Hill Gang, former member of Latrobe Fire Department, and former member of St. Vincent Volunteer Fire Department. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg, where he was a past commander, past senior vice commander, past all state commander, trustee and judge advocate. He also was the current president and served on VFW honor guard.
