  Tampa 9/11 Heroes Run Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather

  We regret to inform you that the 9/11 Heroes Run in Tampa, FL, scheduled for Saturday, September 28th, has been canceled due to the inclement weather and storm warnings affecting the area. While we are deeply disappointed, our priority is keeping you and all participants safe.

  
  The 9/11 Heroes Run honors the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001, and the brave service members who stepped up to serve in the wars that followed. This situation serves as a reminder of the hard work and dedication of first responders, many of whom have been activated throughout Florida in response to the storms. We salute them for their tireless service and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities.

  Here are your options moving forward:

  
  1. Complete the Run on Your Own - In October, you will be able to pick up your packet - including your 2024 9/11 Heroes Run Shirt and Patch (rucking division only). At that time, you can complete the run on your own, honoring 9/11 first responders and those who stepped up to serve in the wars that followed. Please follow this link to complete the 2024 9/11 Heroes Run on your own. 

   

  2. Donate Your Registration to TMF: You can choose to donate your registration to support TMF’s mission of empowering veterans and families of fallen heroes to serve and unite their communities. You will not receive the 2024 Heroes Run Shirt and Patch (rucking division only) if you choose this option. Please follow this link to donate your registration to TMF. 

   

  3. Defer Your Registration to 2025: If you'd like to participate in next year’s event, you can defer your registration to attend the 2025 Tampa 9/11 Heroes Run. Registrants must defer by 11:59 PM ET on October 10th. You will not receive the 2024 Heroes Run Shirt and Patch (rucking division only) if you choose this option. In order to request a deferral, participants should contact Jessica Gardner at jessica.gardner@travismanion.org.
  
  4. Request a Refund: If you prefer, you can request a refund of your registration fee. If you choose this option, you will not receive your 2024 Heroes Run Shirt and Patch (rucking division only). Please follow this link to request your refund.

   

  Packet pickup options will be sent to you via email in October if you choose the first option.

• GORUCK RUCKING DIVISION

  Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2024, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this year's exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year.
